Gingerbread Cake Christmas Recipe

Delicious Gingerbread cake perfect for Christmas and it serves a big crowd too.

Oven temperature 180
Gingerbread cake
1 1/2 cups plain flour (all purpose)
3/4 cup self raising flour
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 tablespoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon mixed spice
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup light olive oil (I used vegetable oil because I ran out of olive oil)
1 cup golden syrup or dark corn syrup
2 eggs lightly beaten
3/4 cup of milk
2 1/2 cups icing sugar mixture
1 orange using the rind and 1/4 cup of the juice
