Thanksgiving Recipe: Sage Sausage Stuffing | Cooking Show

Here is my Auntie Robin’s Recipe for Sausage Stuffing:
8 Cups Bread Cubes

Cube 8 cups sourdough bread, lightly toast in oven

Put bread cubes into a large bowl

3-4 tubes Jimmy Dean Sage Sausage
1 small onion diced fine
4-6 C sliced mushrooms
4 T ground Sage
6 C turkey stock
2 sticks of butter melted

Fry the onion, then sausage (well). Add the mushrooms and sauté, add the ground sage and some pepper. Drain most of the fat.

Mix into the bread cubes.

Add melted butter and turkey stock to the dressing and mix well.

Stuff the bird and put the remainder into a casserole dish and bake for about an hour.
