Easter Cupcakes with Our Favorite Teen Baker

14 year old Abby Martin from Franklin made Wisconsin proud by making it all the way to the finals in the Food Network’s “Kids Baking Championship”! She’s back on the Blend, but this time she’s in our kitchen! Abby is whipping up some tasty cupcakes, perfect for the Easter holiday! Be sure to follow Abby on Instagram: @Abby_Baking And see below for her cupcake recipe! * Vanilla Cake  -1/2 cup butter  -1/2 cup oil  -2 cups sugar  Combine -4 eggs  -1 tsp vanilla  Add in -3 cups flour  -2 tsp baking powder  -1 tsp salt  Combine in separate bowl -1 cup milk Alternate adding in dry ingredients and milk to sugar mixture.  Bake for 30 minutes at 350 in a 9×13” pan or until toothpick comes out clean. You can bake 24 cupcakes, too, but only for 20 minutes. You can also bake two 9” cakes for 30 minutes. * Vanilla Buttercream  -1/2 cup butter  -1/2 cup shortening  Combine – 4 cups powdered sugar  Add in slowly  -1/8 cup milk  -1 tsp vanilla
