Ginisang Corned Beef Recipe

This Ginisang Corned Beef or Corned Beef Guisado is just one of the simplest Filipino dishes that require the most basic ingredients and can be done in three easy steps.

Ginisang Corned Beef Ingredients:

1 can corned beef,
1 medium onion chopped or cut into rings,
2 cloves garlic minced,
1 medium tomato diced,
2 tablespoons vegetable oil for sauteeing,
salt and pepper.

How To Cook Ginisang Corned Beef:

1. In a skillet, saute the garlic and onions in oil over medium heat for 5 minutes.
2. Add the tomatoes and corned beef then cook for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent the corned beef meat from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
3. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 3 minutes.

Serve this Ginisang Corned Beef as Cornsilog with garlic fried rice or sinangag and eggs (itlog) for breakfast. Prepare this as a simple lunch with steamed white rice and patis or soy sauce on the side. Serve it with hot pandesal or loaf of bread with butter.

In making this Corned Beef Guisado, you can also add potatoes or patatas, cabbage or repolyo, as well as carrots and green peas to add more color, texture, and flavor to the dish.
