Juicy Turkey Recipe- Recipe for the BEST Thanksgiving Turkey Ever!!

No More Dry Turkey!

So when I’m not making natural hair and skin care products. Im throwing down in the kitchen. The first time I baked a turkey it was dry and lacked flavor and honestly that’s how a lot of turkey is at thanksgiving; dry and flavorless. Well this year I was determined not to have a dry turkey so I changed up the cooking style from baking to braising or slow cooking and made the most delicious, juicy and savory turkey ever.

The Best Turkey Ever Recipe:

1 10-12lb turkey
3-4 cups water
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced carrots
1/2 cup diced celery
1 1/2 sliced garlic
1/4 cup kosher salt
1/3 cup dry parsley
1/3 olive oil
1 tbsp seasoning salt
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp onion powder
2 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp Cheyenne pepper
1tsp numeric powder

1. Coat the turkey with salt and pepper. Add olive oil to a hot pan. Sear turkey in a hot pan until brown on both sides.

2. Remove the turkey and let it rest in a large stock pot. Turn the fire down to low, then add garlic, onion, celery and carrots to the growing in the pan. Mix and let simmer for 2 mins.

3. Add 1 cup of water and scrape all the browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Pour over turkey.

4. Add water to cover most of the turkey. Add seasoning and let it braise for 4 hours.

5. Slice, dress it with turkey jus and serve.
