Asian Stir Fried Garlic Squid Recipe (Asian Spicy Seafood Recipe)

Stir Fried Garlic Chives & Squid

300g Squid
300g Garlic Chives
1 Spring Onion
1 Red Chilli Pepper
5g Ginger
2 Cloves Garlic
1 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Sweet Bean Sauce
1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
Salt to Taste

1. Cut the chives into 1 inch in length
2. Finely chop the red chilli, spring onion, ginger and garlic
3. Place one squid flat on a chopping board
4. Make fine cross cuts on the surface of each squid with your knife at 45 degree angle – be very careful not to cut all the way through
5. Repeat with the rest of the squid
6. Boil 1 litre of water in the pan, add the squid into the pan for 1 minute or till they curls
7. Removed from pan and drain – cut squid into half if they are big squid
8. Heat 1 Tbsp of oil in a wok on highest setting, add chilli, spring onion, ginger and garlic, stir fry for a few seconds
9. Add the squid and stir fry for few seconds
10. Add the sweet bean sauce, soy sauce and stir fry for a few seconds
11. Add the chives and stir fry for few seconds then pinch of salt
12. Add sesame oil and stir
13. Remove from wok, serve and enjoy
