Maple Bacon Shrimp

for Kroger featuring Rice Krispies
Serves: 10 shrimp (this recipe can easily be doubled, etc to feed a larger crowd)
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
2 T whole wheat pastry flour
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon sriracha, or more to taste
1/2 cup Rice Krispies Cereal
1/4 teaspoon salt, + more to taste
1/4 teaspoon pepper
10 uncooked large shrimp, peeled, deveined and tails removed
3 slices bacon, halved and halved (see video for visual)
Preheat oven to 400ºF and place a wire cooling rack on a silicone mat (or parchment paper) lined baking sheet.
Place flour into a shallow dish.
Whisk maple syrup and Sriracha together in a shallow bowl.
Place Rice Krispies, salt, and pepper into another shallow dish and crush slightly with the back
of a spoon.
One at a time, dip shrimp in flour, then maple/Sriracha mixture, then Rice Krispies.
Wrap in bacon and then skewer with a toothpick.
Place on prepared baking sheet and repeat with remaining shrimp.
Bake in oven for 15 minutes and enjoy!
