Summer has arrived and it is time to feel refreshed with some mind blowing summer coolers. One of the simplest recipes of coolers is lassi. So we being you chilled, thick and creamy sweet lassi recipe to quench your thirst.
2 cups fresh chilled yogurt
1 cup chilled milk / water
1/4 cup powdered sugar or more – as per taste
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 tsp rose water
2 – 3 tbsp chopped dry fruits (almonds,pistachios & cashews)
few saffron strands
few ice cubes (optional)
– Using a traditional buttermilk churner, bet the chilled thick yogurt until it becomes smooth.
– Add sugar and blend well until it dissolves well.
– Add the chilled milk to it and keep churning until they blend well.
– Add the cardamom powder and a few strands of saffron along with little rose water to it and mix well.
– Pour it in the serving glasses and garnish with some chopped nuts and very few strands of saffron.
– The thick and creamy ‘Sweet Lassi’ or ‘Punjabi Lassi’ is ready to be served.
