2 cups potatoes, peeled and diced
2 large carrots, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup water (from boiling carrots)+ more if your consistency is too thick
2 tsp salt + more to taste
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 Tbsp mustard
1/2 to 1 Tbsp Activated Charcoal (into boiling water for your pasta)
1/2 to 1 Tbsp Activated Charcoal for Cheez sauce

Instructions for the Black Cheez sauce:
Boil the carrots and the potatoes until they are soft (around 20 minutes).
Blend the potatoes and carrots together in a high speed blender until very smooth.
Add remaining ingredients into the blender until the Cheez is very smooth, adding more of the boiled carrot water as necessary until desired consistency is reached.
Season to taste with salt and pepper (cayenne pepper if desired).

For Pasta,
Boil a pot of salted water and add a 1/2 Tbsp of the activated charcoal to the pot. The boiling water will turn black, helping to achieve the desired black colored pasta. Use whole wheat or whole grain macaroni to make this as healthy as possible. Toss drained pasta with sauce and serve.
