Look at how scary these bloody eyeballs are… Deb gets ready for an unforgettable Halloween party with a very special (and frightening) guest!
But they’re perfect for my recipe… come with me! Come on, come here: now you’ll help me prepare the bloody eyeballs. Let’s see what we’ll need:
For 30 eyeballs
• 14 oz (400 g) of white chocolate
• 1 ¼ cups (300 g) of ricotta cheese
• 3,5 oz (100 g) of plain biscuits For decorating
• 30 chocolate candies
• 2 oz (60 g) of dark chocolate
• 1 egg white / red food colouring
• 1 ¼ cups (150 g) of powdered sugar
Come on Freddy, make yourself useful, start crushing the biscuits… but what are you doing, you’re not even able to crush some biscuits? Use a food processor, please… Meanwhile, melt less than 2 oz (50 g) of white chocolate in a bain marie and blend with the ricotta cheese… and stir well.
Oh, here you are! Now fold in the crushed biscuits… and blend together. Well, now we’ll shape it into small balls, which means that with this claws, you can’t help me. Take a teaspoon of dough… roll into a small ball… and flatten it slightly to make it look like an eyeball. Then place on a sheet of parchment paper.
Our small balls are ready: Freddy, go and put in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Now prepare the red icing: beat an egg white until stiff, add first the sifted powdered sugar, then the red food colouring, that has been melted in a little hot water… no, not now, Freddy! I haven’t added the powdered sugar, yet!
It’s time to coat the eyeballs with the white chocolate, which has been melted in the microwave… help yourself with a fork… and place the iris on top. Then do the same with all the others, as you can see it’s super simple… but, something is missing here! Do you know anything about it? Show me the claw! Come on… I knew it was you, go in your corner!
Finally, decorate the eyeballs: use the melted dark chocolate to make the pupil… and with the red icing, draw the veins.
Look at how scary these bloody eyeballs are… even more than you! “That’s enough, I’m tired!” But what are you saying??
Deborah, deborah, wake up… the sauce is burning…
